Nibane
The existing name of Zagnibs or Maryn'bl will no longer be used. Who has emerged from the Underveil is not the creature many may have expected. Severance from Zaga Throneveil has supported by Grisland, has formed a new identity agreement.
The entity once known as Zagnibs now walks with a name of its own: Cassian Nibane.
Life on the Veilstone:
Those who have encountered him since the severance describe something changed beneath the new horror. The nature associated with the old demon remain, but tempered now by an unnerving patience and restraint. No smiles. He no longer moves like a feline predator nor a leading commander of wars. Instead: He watches everything intensely. He listens. He studies people as though measuring truths they have not spoken aloud yet. He only speaks after long silences of deep thought and reflection.
Nibane has claimed residence within the deeper reaches of the Underveil beneath the Veilwake Citadel — the same labyrinthine reflection-chambers and occult sanctums once built by Zagnibs, long before anyone know the name "Zaga".
Reports from those permitted audience with him are contradictory. Some claim he speaks with unsettling calm and intelligence. Others insist the air itself feels wrong around him, as though reality bends subtly in his presence. Several witnesses have described moments where shadows moved independently near him before falling still again. Many say he's more unsettling than he used to be...
Despite his adapting reputation, Nibane has not openly declared hostility toward the Citadel or its inhabitants. In fact, he appears strangely calm and nonviolent, acting less like a conqueror and more like a figure attempting to stabilize something unseen beneath the surface of events.
This has only deepened concerns among those familiar with the long history of Zagnibs. The commander operated with open intelligence structures, commanding dominance, and a strict adherence to rules, structure and processes.
A patient demon with unknown intentions is far more frightening than an active one that uses systems to operate.
Many now wonder whether the separation truly weakened the entity at all? Or if it simply allowed it to begin to evolve into something else entirely. Again.
One thing is for certain: No one has seen the old grin this entity used to have. Instead, 'it's been replaced by a silver intensity in the eyes that say, "I am here. Here I am. Who am I?"
